Thursday

Do you ever wonder what people are thinking about when you pass them on the street?
I made a bunch of thought bubbles out of paper and we hung them around Brooklyn. We waited for people to walk by the bubbles and when they did, I took a picture.
I'm sure people think about love,
food,
and ladies in bikinis ;)
What would you put in your bubble?

Wednesday

Me and Matty saw this hilarious turkey through the window of a supermarket.
We walk in and jokingly ask the manager where we can get a giant turkey like the one hanging from the ceiling. He looks at us and says, " You want this turkey? "
Next thing you know, the guy is grabbing a ladder and taking it off the ceiling for us! He said it was a display item for Thanksgiving and they didn't need it anymore so he just let us take it.

I was laughing so hard holding the turkey that I could barely breathe,
so Matty carried home the prize turkey.
It's so big that it doesn't even fit through our doorway.
I'm now convinced that the space above the refrigerator was made for giant turkeys like this.

It took forever, but I covered one of my photographs entirely in sequins!

Monday

What a cozy surprise to see outside my window!
Me and Matty wandered around Brooklyn last night. How crazy are these christmas decorations?

We learned that a woman named Lucy lives here. Her neighbors used to get angry about her decorations because they were so bright and distracting. At one point someone called the cops on her so Lucy hired a band to play outside just piss her neighbors off even more. Eventually the rest of the block gave in and started decorating too!

Sunday

These were shot by my friend Kamilla. All she wanted me to wear was a shirt and tights. At one point I heard an old woman worriedly say "oh my, she forgot her pants!"
She was too cute.

Saturday

I love to splatter paint anything that looks too plain

Smocks are so cute. I wish I could wear them as a dress!
but that would be a bad idea..

Thursday

How fun are these lunch boxes!

They were decorated by celebrities who are auctioning them off and donating the money to feed children in Africa.

This video cracks me up.  I have NEVER seen myself look this serious! My friend asked if I can help him out and model for this video for B&H. The store is run by Hasidic Jews so they covered me in grey and told me to look as frum as possible. I wasn't even allowed to smile, is that even possible for me??

Tuesday

Do you have a specific street or subway performer you see every day on your way to work or class? I know I do. He's the Beatles guy. ALWAYS in the 6th Ave tunnel. ALWAYS playing Beatles songs. I used to feel like I knew him so well since I saw him every day but at the same time I didn't know him at all.

That's why me and Matty decided to spend an entire summer getting to know these people! We went to their homes, met their families, watched them perform again and again and made some great new friends. I have so much love for all the people in this video!

Monday

This is Helen
She's my favorite person to go on adventures with.
We're either trying on silly clothes at thrift shops,
jumping into dumpsters filled entirely of popcorn,
exploring lumber yards,
taking silly photos with strangers,
blowing bubbles in the subway,
making new friends,
or leaping through a junk yard.

Sunday

I absolutely love dresses. How could you not? They're so fun and bright and make me want to twirl every where I go.

Saturday

Why is it that you can only get animal shaped chocolates on holidays like Christmas and Easter? I'd rather eat fun shaped chocolates all year long than boring rectangles.
I'll never forget that on my 18th birthday, my brother bought me 18 chocolate easter bunnies to last me for the rest of the year. Of course I ate them all in less than a week but how cute is he?
I bought Moo his own little home today.
Even cats like family portraits ;)

Friday

I'm so excited! Me and Matty bought our first ever real christmas tree.

When we got home we grabbed some glue and searched through our drawers for fun things to make decorations with. It's way more fun to make your own decorations than to buy them!
Matty made this character named Brad Simpson. Apparently he rides a segway and owns a snake with glasses.
I found tons of buttons and glued them together to make cute little ornaments.
I loved it so much that I made some pins out of them =)

What does your christmas tree look like?

Thursday

I found these wonderful fabric stickers and I just want to stick them to everything!

I'm gonna wander around the city for a day placing them in spots that could use some love.
Doesn't this restaurant make you think of Alice in Wonderland?
I love it.

Tuesday

Me and Matty made this video for a commercial contest. The hardest part for me was not the shooting or editing, but having to punch Matty in the head at the end!

Monday

Jump test!

Me and Matty bought all new blankets, pillows and we even got memory foam! Everything is so fluffy now that when you jump on the bed you don't bounce, you just sink in! I'm pretty sure this is what a cloud feels like =)

Sunday

Seeing my family means wrestling my little brother until I'm too tired to stand. He always wants to be thrown around and as soon as he falls down he jumps right back up!
