katie! your tent is lovely. just the other week we made a fort in my apartment! it's down now, but i constructed a new one over my bed for the winter =)
That's so funny. I literally JUST posted a poem/story in which the main character has a tent in her bedroom as part of a dream (http://adelaidepoet.blogspot.com/2009/11/dream-geographers.html) and here you've got one in real life. You're my hero! :)
Hi Katie, I loved my tents when I was a little girl, haven't thought about making one for my grown-up self until I saw this - what a great idea! thanks for sharing it with us. XO Heidi - Heart and Home
Gorgeous! The top picture has a cool illusion going on: the lighting on the blue cloth makes it look like there are giant hands underneath the cloth. I spent a few minutes looking at it trying to figure out how you spliced the photos together. Anyone else see it, or should I lay off the coffee?
dear katie, i had to write after finding your blog to let you know that it has absolutely delighted me. what a bright, wonderful find on a gray, rainy tuesday! -meg
Your tent is amazing and your pictures are beautiful. I just built a little fort with my two year old son this week when he stayed home sick. It cheered us up on a rainy day. How fun! I wish I had a tent like yours!
Long time follower, first time commenter. I adore your blog. I hope you do not mind me saying that you are an inspiring, beautiful person. A new post always makes my day and you remind me to never grow up too much. Thank you.
Love this! Sad that some folks would look on this as being 'childish' to indulge one's self in this way, but my goodness, what a lovely restoring escape from the mean streets! Blessings, G
