Moo

Matty and I have been waking up to the sounds of hammering the past few nights.

So last night I hopped out of bed and quietly followed a trail of tools on the floor...

which led me to Moo!
Apparently, he's been busy building himself a bachelor's pad.
Where's all the ladies at?

Fun Snow

We had a giant blizzard this weekend.

Unfortunately, the snow here turns brown and disgusting real quick but I decided that I wouldn't let that happen this time!
So I filled a few spray bottles with colored water and went around my neighborhood spraying the snow red, blue, yellow, and green.

The ground now looks like one big tasty snow cone.
Take that brown snow!

Dreams

I've been having such bad dreams lately!
I thought I'd try covering my bedroom walls with raindrops because rain always relaxes me.
I've had nothing but good dreams since but now I may have to start sleeping with an umbrella!

10 things that make me smile

Best subway station ever!
Whimsical subway stations that make me want to stay underground,
weee!
flying children,

crazy window displays,
Artist workshop
teaching fun art workshops,
buying alligator gloves for the sole purpose of entertaining kids while riding the subway,
Husband's Resting Area
girly stores that understand men,
moo's crazy tail,

silly nails,
11-6-09 145
stealing someone's camera, taking goofy pictures of my dad,
11-6-09 149
and then quietly returning it,
flying away with the wind
and flying away on a windy, rainy day.

Handbells

For our latest Improv Everywhere mission, we surprised a Salvation Army bell ringer by bringing along our own bell ringers to play with him.
Our first ringer came out with a gigantic bell
and the group gradually grew,
until we had a 13 member handbell choir playing "Joy to the World".

It was a fun christmas surprise for the ringer and all the people in the street!

We bought a gigantic christmas tree!

Matty and I cut out tons of hearts
and made a love tree.
Looks like it's working!

MAD Museum

This Thursday I'm going to be a guest artist at the Museum of Art and Design!
If you live in nyc, come by for a night of hands-on art with myself and three other artists, live music, drinks, and a tour of the museum (which has an amazing exhibit on paper art!). It would be great to meet you and make some fun projects together. I may even break out some dance moves, wooooo!

Read about the details here.

Winter is coming!

It may be freezing outside but there's a million reasons to love winter: hot chocolate, pretty christmas lights, excuses to get lots of warm hugs...

My favorite thing is that I get to wear fun colorful tights!

So let's play a game, what's your favorite thing about winter?
I'm going to send a little present in the mail to whoever has the loveliest answer. I will pick someone on Wednesday so make sure to put your email or a link to your blog in the comments so I can contact you!

Tree Lighting

I went to the tree lighting in Rockefeller Center last night.
I had time to spare so I found some paper and made pretty filters!
I wish christmas trees always looked like this!
