Just a quick high five..I've been following your blog for about a year and love your bright photos; your eye and sensibility and your delight in the small things in life that make it great to wake up everyday. Thanks for brightening my RSS feed!
I just wanted to say hello! I'm a 17 year old college freshman, and work for a photography studio, taking school pictures. Even though that doesn't leave much in the way of creative freedom, but it really got me to look at the world through a camera lens. And after seeing some of your pictures and pictures other freelance photographers have taken, I invested in a nice digital camera (a Canon Rebel) and changed my major to photgraphy. I take pictures whenever I can. I'm obsessed. You were definitely a big inspiration for some of the things I've done, and have helped me step out of my shell and meet people and not being afraid of being looked at funny when I'm doing crazy things to get a good picture of something or someone.
yikes - my post got posted 3 times and then i accidentally deleted all 3. but then, i'm lucille ball reincarnated.
i woke up in this same position the other day. uncanny, that. ;)
i had a sweet kitty name of Zosia that used to flush the toilet. only embarrassing during dinner dates when the guy would think there was no one else in the apartment but us.
cats are so predictable and magic-filled. s'why we love 'em! thanks for the giggle, katie. {nancy}
Just after reading this post, an ad popped up in my facebook ads for a clothing store called "me and moo" ;-) http://www.meandmoo.com.au/ Nothing to do with cats as far as I can see, but I thought you might like it!
i think moo is fabulous, and is slowly convincing my other half to allow us to have a cat! we have dachshunds... but they're too short, stumpy and weiner-like to do acorbatics, not that i hold it against them, they're little sweethearts :P maybe if i stick pictures of moo by their bed they can dream of being acrobats!
I've had this idea in my brain that, if Color Me Katie were a singer/songwriter instead of a photographer, it might look and sound a little like this. I can't stop wondering how accurate I am...

In some other life where cats and dogs could be friends, your moo and my dog Chevy would be friends. Chevy is a little mountain goat (he loves to jump and climb on things too!)
My cat Olive could be Moo's girlfriend - she hangs out on top of our kitchen door! And loves sleeping on her back with her furry belly on display for the world to see too! Super cute.
hehehe what talent!

My big, white furry friend, Boo, says Hi to Moo. I think he is a little jealous, he only hangs out on top of the refrigerator.

ReplyDeleteThat's insane! How cute! My cat is weird. She's afraid to jump up too high.

Woof! Woof!
ReplyDeleteI just love Moo!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish my dog could do things like that, but he's too goofy to even try it! Look: www.flickr.com/pequenobacon
Poor Bacon, he tries, but he simply can't!
Adorable as always :)
ReplyDeleteJust curious, where did you get/find Moo?
Cats have nine lives, so that's why Moo is daring enough to sleep on the narrow top edge of the door! Moo probably thinks it's no biggie.
ReplyDeleteYep, Moo definitely lives life on the edge ;)
ReplyDelete@Aud- We adopted him from a kill shelter up on 110th st in Manhattan!
That is impressive. Wow Moo!!!
ReplyDeleteAccidentally commented using my old blogger account, so I'm the same person as "Aud".. that said...
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I'm so glad you adopted him then!! I love shelter cats, they always seem to have the best personalities :)
That's about 6 kinds of awesome! My cat is too fat and squidgy to do that...
ReplyDeleteMoo for president !
ReplyDeleteyou have one amazing cat!!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! I wonder what could be Moo's dream up there. Maybe piloting the hang glider or what, lol.
ReplyDeleteIn some other life where cats and dogs could be friends, your moo and my dog Chevy would be friends. Chevy is a little mountain goat (he loves to jump and climb on things too!)
