Happy New Year!

I'm making a New Year's resolution to become more organized.

My head is always full of fun ideas, silly thoughts and about a billion things I need to do. Sometimes it gets so cluttered that I can't focus on anything.
That's why I bought this magic wand to help me organize my thoughts!

Did you make any New Year's resolutions? I'd love to hear them =)

I have resolved to be more present in each moment, and to step outside my comfort zone more often. Love your blog!

Here are my resolutions, but I hardly ever keep them for a whole year. :P
1. Try harder in school.
2. Figure out what I'm going to do with my life.
3. Find a hobby that doesn't involve me sitting in front of my computer/TV watching movies.
4. Refrain from retail therapy.

That picture is full of whimsy and... magic! I love it!

I don't really have any resolutions, but I'm trying to keep my life in balance, all while keeping a new blog.

I hope your year is as wonderful as that picture!

Love your blog, just FYI.
I did make some, as I like to call them "life changes" for this New Year!
Mainly they all boil down just embracing life, all the bumps, twists, turns, loopdy loops, and curves! It is going to be not only an exciting year but also an exciting decade!

Apart from wanting to learn more Italian, I think my resolutions are just to be more conscious about all the beautiful things around me.

I also thought that these resolutions at Meet Me At Mikes are awesome: http://meetmeatmikes.blogspot.com/2010/01/resolution-number-nine.html?dsq=27836921#comment-27836921

And well done on the AAirlines magazine!

I have a plan for carboard, waterproof varnish ande velcro tape to make oard games and paper doll sets top glue up in public places like bus and train stops, so people can amuse themselves while waiting. i used to do a lot more street art :| i'd make gardens in subways, comics on the sstreet etc and i miss it.

my one and only resolution is to not buy any clothes.....it will probably be anything, but magical. by the way. if you haven't noticed I think you are great. my little sister saw your bubble photos and asked if we could do it. and we did and it was great. thanks.

Changing my focus! This year its NOT... all about ME! I am writing 365 TY cards and searching out unique ways to display random acts of kindness to fam, friends, and total strangers.

Im chucking the usual self-focused crap and looking to create a million smiles!

colormekatie said...

That's wonderful Gretch-a-sketch!

Catie said...

Cute post! My New Year's resolutions also include getting more organized. One of the ways I'm trying to do this is by always making my bed and not going to sleep with clothes, books, and random things on my floor.

Amy T Schubert said...

My resolutions will be posted in full for accountability tomorrow, but I definitely want to create some free e-books, visit Hearst Castle (in San Simeon, CA) and shop more at Farmer's Markets for in season produce. Good measurable goals like that!

daya saraswati dasi said...

wow - one of mine is similar to yours...

1. continue to open my heart
2. to be more mindful (focused) on the present moment
3. to somehow be of service in india

i tend to get scattered and work on way too many little ideas and then get drained of energy...
so here's to some big focused projects in 2010 for both of us!
peace,
jennifer

2. Learn to do 100 pushups (in a row!)

Happy New Year, Katie!

"Sometimes it gets so cluttered that I can't focus on anything." I recognize myself in that. My main goal for 2010 is to be more focused (preferably do one thing at a time rather than multitasking) and prioritize on what's most important in my life right now.

3. Finish highschool strong because art school will be so great!

Is your wand working? If so, then I need one that will help me with my resolution of going outside to play everyday with my two and a half year old son...even if it takes twenty minutes to be out for only two minutes in the three degree weather (today was a struggle...which is why I'm wondering if it's working and what market there is for it).

Wow Katie! Awesome pic, but then again, what pic or project of yours isn't awesome? None! How did you make it look like everything is floating? Photoshop? My New Years Resolution is to get more active and go places I've never been to, even locally.

I have realized that my resolutions have the theme of love.
1)learn to love myself more and embrace every inch of my skin.
2)wipe all negative thoughts from my mind and love everyone, regardless.
3)pull off my wedding in june and be married to my favorite boy.
4)work on healing the broken relationship i have had with my mom for the past few years.

and then we have the odd duck resolution: go back to school to make my dreams a reality.

Anonymous said...

getting organized is one of my general unwritten resolutions. among other things, i'd like to read (finish what i read, especially), learn how to cook something, and wear more skirts.

Thank you Katie, for a great blog and wish you a joyous 2010. Yep, for the first time ever, I made new year resolutions and even blogged about them - somehow that left me feeling more accountable.

Here it is:

One of the most important resolutions here, is to be grateful for what I have - more often.

Cheers,
