Did you know that there are Cat Cafes in Japan?
It's true aaaaand the best thing ever!
You just go inside and order a cup of coffee but instead of sitting at a table with people, you sit and sip your coffee with a bunch of cats jumping all over you!
and lots of cats on the ceiling.
I wish every morning started with a fresh cup of coffee and a bunch of lethargic cats!
That is awesome! I would love to go there for some coffee!
ReplyDeleteThis is the coolest! I want to visit!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat does Moo think of all this? :) Thanks for the smiles. Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeletesweet lord, that's amazing!
ReplyDelete@Alice Braga- I think I'll have to keep it a secret from Moo. He gets jealous of other cats ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish Moo could be there, he would notice he isn't the only climbing cat in the world! :P
ReplyDeleteOhhh, that would be so fun. I need to visit Japan now.

This has to be one of the best ideas ever. I'd imagine spending some time petting a cat in the middle of the day would be so relaxing. I just wish I could bring my cat with me everywhere -- I'd be the calmest person alive.

ReplyDeleteSuper cute!
ReplyDeletewow...what a cat.wonder if there are some dogs cafe too.now we can call that even. :-)
ReplyDeletejaponese, especially in Tokio, have a huge shortage in spaces for housing, therefore, owing a cat is completely out of question.
ReplyDeletethat would be the explanation for the cat playing stores. it's the only way they get to hang out with cats.
I didn't mean to seem condescending, I just thought you might not know that.
All the bes and keep the cheerful and cattish blogging
they have bunny cafes too!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow. What can you say about THAT... :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a cat fantasy.
ReplyDeleteJumping platforms, high walks, plenty of place to chill, hide and receive pets.
Everyone wins!

ReplyDeletehow crazy!! looks like fun but i have to ask, does it stink in there?? sometimes lots of cats can get smelly, just curious!

ReplyDeletei've seen these before, its such a funny concept!! id love to visit one someday xx
ReplyDeleteThere is a cat cafe in Taipei, too.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI wish they had these in the states because I live in a "no pet" apt and so miss having a little furry friend around - I would go there a LOT! So glad you're enjoying your vacation!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Taiwan is one of the greatest places ever! I was born and raised in the US, but I'm Taiwanese and visit there almost every year.
ReplyDeleteSome things you HAVE to try:
- Stinky Tofu (Pronounced: "Cho Do-Foo")
It's stinky, it's tofu, and it's sooo good. Well, I guess it's an acquired taste. Some love it, some hate it, but you should try it! You can get this at the night markets.
- GO TO THE NIGHT MARKETS! ("Ye She")
There are tons around, especially if you are in Taipei. There are so many cute booths selling super cheap clothes, accessories, and food! You can also haggle with the locals (it helps a lot if you have a Taiwanese guide).
- Drive around the country side!
Taiwan is so green and lush, especially when you visit the country side (like Yilan--about a couple of hours from Taipei). And the sky is nothing like in the US. SO BLUE. The clouds are also really fluffy and beautiful in Taiwan.
I'm so excited for you! There is so so much to explore in Taiwan. If you are interested, I have pictures from my trip there this summer. HAVE FUN!
<3 Cindy

ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite things! Do they have cat-friendly beverages and treats for the cats? How did you ever find such a place?
ReplyDelete@ Aubrie- We weren't allowed to feed the cats but we could pet them all we want! Matt and I were hanging out with some people we had just met and we stumbled upon this awesome cafe. Apparently there's about 40 of them in Japan!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are real eye candy! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun ! My niece (who lives in Japan) told me there are all kind of themed restuarants there, even one with a vampire theme.
ReplyDeleteyay for clean cats! how cool that they have a little bathing area for them...that makes it even more appealing knowing they are sparkly clean kitties! :)
