Christmas Cookie Tree

Matty and I decided not to get a real Christmas tree this year since we're not going to be around much.
We were a little bit bummed so I decided to surprise Matty and make a different kind of tree!
I cooked up some cookies and covered them in colorful icing.
Then I made a tree out of paper and placed the cookies on it!

When Matty came home I whipped out some gel,
and we decorated the cookies together.
Christmas Cookie Tree!
Now we have our very own, very tasty Christmas tree!

  7. Now that's being creative! =o) I only put up the tree for my husband 'cause he's Christian. It's nice to do things for other people. xD

Decorating cookies or the tree together is what I find to be memories to cherish!

  16. @Alana- I wanted to bake cookies and thought that after cookies are decorated they sort of look like ornaments on a tree. So I thought it would be fun to make a tree for them!

  17. That's so sweet Katie.

This year I was going to be in my apartment all alone until the 21st (because of exams) so I wanted to decorate but on a budget. I decorated my windows with tons of snow flakes and bought a tiny poinsettia and decorated it like a tree. It had lights and tiny ornaments I made....

Sometimes the homemade christmas decorations are way better.

  18. Ohhh I SO want the icing recipe :D

I won't decorate this year because we are currently repairing some parts of the house and it's awfully dusty and messy. Next year, though, I'll be living at my new house and I'll try to do something :)
