Say Something Nice

For our latest Improv Everywhere mission, we placed a lectern with a megaphone on it in public places around NYC. Attached to the lectern was a sign that read " Say Something Nice".

This is what New Yorkers had to say...

I couldn't help myself and had to go up to share some love as well!

  9. Hi Katie :) This is so randomly awesome I just had to share... So this morning I got an FB note that someone had shared this "Say Something Nice" video with me - the friend said that the girl @1:00 reminds her of me. I watched the video and smiled - then suddenly I thought that that gal @1:00 reminded me of... YOU! So I checked your blog here (I've been following your posts via your twitter for ages) and lo and behold, it WAS you! haha, love it - great moment, thanks for sharing... that blue umbrella really IS cute. :D

I vote that these are set up in all big cities over the US. I'm moving to Portland next month...I think they need one, too!

  46. today on tvnews, here in Spain, this improv was the only happy new!!!! I follow your blog like a sleeve, so I knew you said something... I was excited (I know it sound like mad fan) looking for you and... ta da! there you were telling one girl you liked her blue umbrella, and I was screaming my flatmates "This is Katie!, this is katie!, Moo's owner!"

It's a silly thing, but maybe you liked to know you were here, many kilometres far ago, on the tv news with the only happy new.

    Thanks for everything!

  47. Katie I had never heard your voice... you have a very sweet voice...

  48. We should put up a say-something-nice-megaphone in every city. People so easily forget to voice their good thoughts...
