I once tried to train one my cats to do it. Pretty much you buy a plastic tray thing that fits over the toilet, put litter in the middle and as they get used to it, little by little you widen the hole. My cat fell right in tray and all and never forgave me. Your kitty is very smart...I'm envious..I always end up with highly neurotic or dumb cats...still love them though! ;)
ha! I actually had my siamese cat trained to do this several years ago. But she was trained and not doing it on her own! how funny. My sweetie is gone now, but it was smart for the environment and I'd do it again in a sec when we get another cat :) I think the funniest thing of it all was she would make funny noises before she would go - like warning us she would need some privacy! I remember she finally got comfortable and I felt greatly loved and trusted one morning when she went in to go when I was brushing my teeth! ha! Thanks for reminding me. I miss her.
There's a new Israeli patent machine that is a litter box for kittens with an automatic poop scoop, which it takes to a drain and flushes it. Basically, no maintenance necessary, not even changing the litter itself.

WHAT!??!?! there is no way your cat does this!!! i tried to teach mine and it was a huge disaster/utter failure. if your cat really does this, you and your cat are AMAZING.

barbi malibu- His name is Moo because he's white and has these big black spots on him. He looks like a little cow!
