Aww they look like really fun people!
The lady in the bakery is from Peter Pan Donuts!! I love that place, I use to live in Greenpoint and they have the BEST donuts. In fact we came in to visit for the 4th and we made it a point to go there the first chance we could get. Awesome pictures and a great post!
hmmnn..reminds me of the Sesame street song "who are the people in your neighborhood?"Have a happy week!

What beautiful photos. You have an amazing blog. Now I'm craving something sweet from the Peter Pan Doughnut Shop where I haven't been in years!
I'm enjoying this blog after discovering it randomly. I love the people in your neighbourhood. I wonder if there are people like that in my neighbourhood? I've never looked properly!

Gosh, Katie, I just discovered you last week, and I absolutely adore your work. I come here when I need a smile... because when I look at your posts, I just can't stop! You're a truly special gal with a big heart. Keep it up -- we need more people out there like you. :-) Colleen in Denver
This is wonderful! I'm a strong believer that it is those around us, even beyond those we have close relationships with, that make up our own personal culture. Thanks so much for this one, made my day!
Looks like a sun shiny day. :)
Oh! Didn't realize you were in Brooklyn too. :) We should meet up for tea & cookies! xoDoehttp://www.doedeereblogazine.com
ah, I love it. I love our neighborhood, too!
Thanks to Girl Interrupted I found your wonderful blog !What a great idea ! We talk so much about people surrounding us in daily life but it's so much better when we all can put faces to names !!Dominica X
angel - the bodega owner- top pic is the best. his sister is Shadow. do you remember smokey the bodega cat? 2 years ago i spent a month taking care of her kittens in the basement of this bodega and adopted one. everything that comes out of that place is sweet + friendly. and shadow makes a KILLER bacon egg + chz sandwich but gets mad if you order too late in the day. maybe the best in the nabe, but has to be made by Shadow.
Gr8 pics, enjoyed dropping by your blog! :)
Looks like a fun neighborhood to be in.
I live in Greenpoint too. Those are amazing! I especially love the one inside Peter Pan! Stunning work, really.
you make people fun , you make dog and bird fun . you make me fun . thank you
ordinary people that make up the faces, smiles and moments of the everyday. nice tribute! your blog always makes me smile even on sad days!
I love this! You seem like you live in a very friendly neighborhood. On a different note, I have a little something for you on my blog: http://lovelifelists.blogspot.com/have a good day!
nice little project, it's too easy to ignore the people that we walk by everyday
I love Greenpoint and the people in my neighborhood too! Fabulous photos and if you happen to see this, what Photoshop and/or camera settings do you use to get the colors so vibrant? I got a Nikon for a gift and the colors are more washed out than I was used to obtaining with my Canon - I miss my Canon's vibrant colors!
Love this post!!
You inspire me so much! Now, I need to go out and explore some of the people in my neighborhood!! Have a great Monday!
Amazing photos... I ♥ Brooklyn.
I can't believe I've never come across your blog until NOW. Ohhhh what I've been missing out on!!!Love it. Love it all. Awesome photos.I'm Asha by the way. Hello. :)
They're all so happy! The girl in the bottom photo looks just like my roommate from when we lived in the dorms.
In layman terms, if that is possible, what "setting" do you use to photograph like the one in the toy store?
Your photography really captures a feeling of happiness. Yes, the people in our neighborhood are pretty great, but you make them and everything you photograph look even better than the real thing. I love your work!
love the one of the girl in green with the black hat :). sweet :) :) :)And the shouting guy at District Dog :DAnd the cheery crazy woman at the end :) :) :)Thanks for the everyday inspiration of your blog posts, new and old :) :) :) :) :)
