Handbells

For our latest Improv Everywhere mission, we surprised a Salvation Army bell ringer by bringing along our own bell ringers to play with him.
Our first ringer came out with a gigantic bell
and the group gradually grew,
until we had a 13 member handbell choir playing "Joy to the World".

It was a fun christmas surprise for the ringer and all the people in the street!

How cute. The church I went to as a kid had a handbell choir, they are beautiful. The Salvation Army bell ringer will have a story to remember for the rest of his life. hugs from HW

I love how the improv your group does is not confrontational or meanspirited, but always reminding people of how cool people can be and that fun should be a part of "adult" life.

You guys rock!

I laughed at the guys face, then I felt so sorry for him once they'd all left and he was the only one dingling his tiny bell.

I love improv. Brilliant!!!

I remember one Christmas going to some mall in Johannesburg with my parents,
and the Salvation Army brass band was there playing carols. They were so good
that I got goose bumps!

The Salvation Army does good work - I wish more people would support them. Improvs like this draw excellent attention to a good cause, while being such fun.

Nicely done :-)

I just came across this way too late, but it is absolutely the most beautiful thing. Tried very hard not to start crying, but I could feel my glasses misting up. I love how much peoples' random acts of kindness can touch others.
