Just a quick high five..I've been following your blog for about a year and love your bright photos; your eye and sensibility and your delight in the small things in life that make it great to wake up everyday. Thanks for brightening my RSS feed!

colormekatie said...

You're so sweet! I've never gotten a virtual high five before..woohoo!

This is like a less raucous version of lolcats-- thanks for brightening my day with a silly sleeping cat! It made me go "nyawww." :)

Long time moo fan first time commenter here. I just love moo. He seems to get more talented each and every day. Your not too bad either Katie ;)

My big, white furry friend, Boo, says Hi to Moo. I think he is a little jealous, he only hangs out on top of the refrigerator.

That's insane! How cute! My cat is weird. She's afraid to jump up too high.

I just wanted to say hello! I'm a 17 year old college freshman, and work for a photography studio, taking school pictures. Even though that doesn't leave much in the way of creative freedom, but it really got me to look at the world through a camera lens. And after seeing some of your pictures and pictures other freelance photographers have taken, I invested in a nice digital camera (a Canon Rebel) and changed my major to photgraphy. I take pictures whenever I can. I'm obsessed. You were definitely a big inspiration for some of the things I've done, and have helped me step out of my shell and meet people and not being afraid of being looked at funny when I'm doing crazy things to get a good picture of something or someone.

Better be careful Katie: Moo will get his fan club before you do! ;)

yikes - my post got posted 3 times and then i accidentally deleted all 3. but then, i'm lucille ball reincarnated.

i woke up in this same position the other day. uncanny, that. ;)

i had a sweet kitty name of Zosia that used to flush the toilet. only embarrassing during dinner dates when the guy would think there was no one else in the apartment but us.

cats are so predictable and magic-filled. s'why we love 'em! thanks for the giggle, katie. {nancy}

nancy said...

i meant, of course, unpredictable. unlike my own screwups! :P *sigh*

Catherine said...

I am wondering if Moo dusts while he is up there...that would be very helpful. :)

Just after reading this post, an ad popped up in my facebook ads for a clothing store called "me and moo" ;-) http://www.meandmoo.com.au/
Nothing to do with cats as far as I can see, but I thought you might like it!

I wrote about you on my blog because I think you're rad! I hope thats okay!

i think moo is fabulous, and is slowly convincing my other half to allow us to have a cat! we have dachshunds... but they're too short, stumpy and weiner-like to do acorbatics, not that i hold it against them, they're little sweethearts :P maybe if i stick pictures of moo by their bed they can dream of being acrobats!

Yahpee said...

My favorite Katie posts are always about Moo! :)

Michelle Frae Cummings said...

that is so great! how did he get up there?

colormekatie said...

He can jump super high!

I've had this idea in my brain that, if Color Me Katie were a singer/songwriter instead of a photographer, it might look and sound a little like this. I can't stop wondering how accurate I am...

I just love Moo!

Sometimes I wish my dog could do things like that, but he's too goofy to even try it! Look: www.flickr.com/pequenobacon

Poor Bacon, he tries, but he simply can't!

Aud said...

Adorable as always :)

Just curious, where did you get/find Moo?

apfel said...

Cats have nine lives, so that's why Moo is daring enough to sleep on the narrow top edge of the door! Moo probably thinks it's no biggie.

colormekatie said...

Yep, Moo definitely lives life on the edge ;)

@Aud- We adopted him from a kill shelter up on 110th st in Manhattan!

melifaif said...

That is impressive. Wow Moo!!!

Audrey Jaye said...

Accidentally commented using my old blogger account, so I'm the same person as "Aud".. that said...

Oh dear! I'm so glad you adopted him then!! I love shelter cats, they always seem to have the best personalities :)

Sarah Grooms said...

That's about 6 kinds of awesome! My cat is too fat and squidgy to do that...

Moo for president !

Melanie said...

you have one amazing cat!!

jojigirl said...

Hahahaha! I wonder what could be Moo's dream up there. Maybe piloting the hang glider or what, lol.

In some other life where cats and dogs could be friends, your moo and my dog Chevy would be friends. Chevy is a little mountain goat (he loves to jump and climb on things too!)

My cat Olive could be Moo's girlfriend - she hangs out on top of our kitchen door! And loves sleeping on her back with her furry belly on display for the world to see too! Super cute.
