Movies

Matty bought a projector for our room!
Not only can you watch movies with it,
but you can make silly shadow puppets,
battle with lightsabers,
and smooch some celebrities!
;)

You do one of the best things possible - you remind us that WE have imaginations that can jump right in, and not simpy be force-fed by what is around us.

You're wonderful - keep it up!

I love making shadow puppets with projectors, but I always get into trouble with the people who are actually trying to watch the movie...

hey!
I just came upon your blog through A Cup of Jo and wanted to say thank you! I watched the mini-documentary on you and and your work, it is so inspiring to see someone with such a positive, creative and care-free personality take that energy and use their work to spread it around! Especially lovely to see on a freezing freezing day like this in New York.
Anyway ... hope youre having a good day and staying warm!

fabulous. my dad used to rent a screen and projector for my birthday when i was a little girl. i should say "our" birthday, as i'm an identical twin. we'd celebrate watching old laurel and hardy flicks and mickey mouse in black and white. (probably dating myself here, but i like dating myself. it's the only way i can be sure i'll have sex at the end of the date.) just kidding... ;) thanks for the smile today.

yup, projectors are pretty magical until you get to school and they project nothing but lectures, when I was little though my mom would show me children's movies and photo slides and shadow puppets, brings back memories
