12 things that make me smile

Dreamy postcards,

Flowers that look like they're about to sing,
Japanese candy
Fun candy sent to us from Japan,

Chin straps,
(They look like they're wearing bike helmets. I imagine if I unstrap them all their hair will fall off!)
Camouflage trees,
Pee supervisors,
My pop fell asleep
Messing with your pop in his sleep,
Spotting a teeny rainbow on a gloomy day,
Getting panties in your birthday card from your bf's mother,
My brother's long, flowing, braidable hair,
(he's like the sister I never had!)
Matty hangin' with his dawgs,
and Moo hangin' with his bad self.

Simple things that cause a smile are the best. The tiniest ones are always great, just because of what a suprise they are. Little rainbows, singing flowers...
Just darling.

you're too cute! I love reading your blog!! you have the most creative ideas...like your speech bubbles you stick on the wall, they're just too COOL!

i have to help organise decorations for a ball coming up and the theme is james bond, do you have any interesting quirky ideas that come to mind? I'm finding it a bit hard to think of things :(
maybe like a silhouette of footsteps or a guy holding a gun on the walls?
and tables...casino chips?

it'd be really great if you could help me toss out one or two ideas :)

thank you so much!!!
<3 lisa, from australia :)

This section of The Enchanted April made me feel this way today:

"Colour seemed flung down anyhow, anywhere; every sort of colour, piled up in heaps, pouring along in rivers-- the perriwinkles looked exactly as if they were being poured down each side of the steps-- and flowers that grow only in borders in England, proud flowers keeping themselves to themselves over there, such as the great blue irises and the lavender, were being jostled by small, shining common things like dandelions and daisies and the white bells of the wild onion, and only seemed the better and the more exuberant for it" I love your blog Katie, I am absolutely inspired by it!

I like your blog, your happines, your creativity and your pictures! I guess you hear this a lot so I just read your blog silently, but then I thought that maybe there are days when you need even more encouragement, so here it is: I encourage you to keep doing this. Maybe it could seem shallow, but I thought about it and it really brings smiles on people's faces, it gives us a touch of optimism and it puts us in a good mood. :)

cheers!
