Music Video

My friend Tyler was shooting a video for a song on his new album called Memories of Home.

He asked me to be his spacewife in the video and I was flattered! 

It just so happens that it's been one of my life long dreams to be a musical spaceman's wife for a day.

Unfortunately, I learned that it's not as easy as I thought.

Your spaceman is a million miles away and all you can do to pass the time is roll around on the beach in agony until he gets back.

Things that make me oh so happy

Gigantic Easter bonnets,

building a little city for Moo to rule over,

my friend Victoria's amazing jello molds ( she just came out with a fun new book! )

a bright hello,

folding paper hearts on the subway and leaving them for someone to find,

name silly straws,

fantastic advice,

hanging out with clowns,

Splatter painting furniture just because I'm in the mood to make a mess,

and then finding out that my palm print is in the shape of a heart!

Easter Egg Hunt

The other day I had a whole bunch of toys,

and a whole lot of plastic eggs laying around,

and according to my calculations... Toys + Plastic Eggs = Easter Eggs!

So I tied them with string, attached a little note, and hung them around my neighborhood for kids to find. 

Why?

Because it's the one magical day of the year that eggs are filled with toys instead of yolk, 

and kids who hate eating eggs can gleefully ask their mom for seconds.

Painting

I've always felt like there was something wrong with this wall...

It's too white!

I went to a paint store but had a really hard time choosing a color....so I made it easy and just picked them all!

Problem solved!

Mmmmm cozy and colorful.

Night Gardening

Last Wednesday was my 25th birthday and I really wanted to celebrate by making something pretty for my block.

In front of my building there's this little square of dirt and weeds that has been there forever.

In a city where almost everything is made of concrete, why have a tiny piece of land filled with weeds when we can have a tiny piece of land filled with flowers?!

So I planned a little night gardening party and had all the bare necessities... friends, flowers, gardening tools,

fun gloves, fancy shoes,

and long balloons to make silly balloon animals.
( Dave is an Anglerfish, can't you tell? )

It may be a small garden, but it adds color to my block and makes my neighbors smile...

and that's all I really wanted for my birthday.

Melting Crayons

When I was younger, I loved melting crayons with my dad into different shapes.

So I searched around my apartment for neglected crayons to melt down into a fun shape so that I would want to use them more!

I took a silicone mold and began melting different colored crayons together...

to make the most epic crayon ever!

I was so excited to try it out that I covered my floor with a roll of giant paper so that I can doodle all over.

The most colorful hello ever!

Dollhouse

79 pieces,

and over 3 hours later,

my wonderfully gigantic dollhouse was done!
Why build a dollhouse you ask?

Because Moo and I have grown tired of plain old shelves,

and a dollhouse is pretty much a giant shelf...except a lot more colorful and fun!
