Saturday

Grandma then,
Grandma now.

From now on, whenever I'm feeling down, I will look at these two pictures and remind myself that life is too short to be unhappy.

And I guess it would cheer up your grandma too to see the photo of herself again?

Brilliant! Katie, be here now. Be happy now. You have figured out what took me forever. At least I finally got it.
Glad you are you.

That's a pretty valuable thought and one I ought to think about more often.

I hope your grandma's okay.

I was just 'passing by' & ended up spending long minutes looking through your blog.

Lovely, lovely atmosphere - the colours can just make your day.

(It must be contagious.)

Ah, that's really touching. My grandma has been in the hospital too so this post really hit me. (Love the Vogue and sassy expression on her face by the way.)

I don't think life is short at all. It's incredably long and beautiful. There are only a few animals that live just as long as we do. We can even live longer or forever, we just choose not to. This is scientific fact! lol I swear.

P.S. today is the first day I have seen/browsed your blog and I love it!
I've copied and pasted my favorite photo of you on my blog linking your page.

Here I am, commenting on a post from over two years ago. Do you get comment notifications?

I've been struggling with depression for years and it's gotten much, much worse in the past couple of months. A friend of mine knows I'm struggling, so she told me about your blog. I've been going back through all of your posts over the last week. At first, it made me angry that someone could be so incredibly happy while I sat here struggling with thoughts of suicide. But slowly, your colorful, cheerful posts have begun to speak to me.

This post, in particular, has really moved me. I can't say you've cured me, but I, too, will look at these photos whenever I'm feeling down and I know they'll help. I'm crying tears of joy because I think you may have helped me begin a path to recovery. Your photos are beautiful. You are beautiful.
